Interstate Highway System:
NY State Thruway (I-90) - with three (3) Exits #25, #25-A and #26. These exits all direct traffic into the Town of Rotterdam with excellent opportunities available for future development. These exits are a direct link for transportation for all points in New York State. Ex: New York City, Syracuse and Buffalo, as well as Western Pennsylvania. I-90 also offers direction traffic lanes to Boston, MA. as well as I-87 for the Northern NY, extending to the Canadian Border.
Interstate I-88 connects with the NY State Thruway (I-90) at exit #25-A. This highway system connects the Town of Rotterdam to Binghamton, NY and I-81 for connections to the State of Pennsylvania and Central New York State cities, as well as the Canadian border.
Intra-NY State Waterway System:
Mohawk River (Barge Canal System), is an excellent water transportation means for transporting products and passengers from Buffalo, NY to Albany, NY With this connection to Albany, NY this offers further water transportation means along the Hudson River to New York City.

Town water supply. The present water supply covers approximately 90% of the town. Some of the rural areas are not supplied with town water.
